At Cal Wadsworth Construction we care about the safety of our employees. Encouraging daily safety on the jobsite is our number one priority. That is why we have developed a detailed and comprehensive safety plan that is followed on every project and taught to every employee. As part of our safety program, superintendents hold weekly “tool box” safety meetings at each project site. Working with the safety director on each project, the project manager constantly evaluates and monitors the successes and shortcomings of the program and decides if any changes need to be made. Our safety program is working. The insurance industry has awarded CWC a current experience modification rate of .83, a better-than-average score that demonstrates a consistent level of safety in the workplace. Our low rate indicates that fewer or less severe accidents occur on our job sites than would typically be expected. Our excellence in safety translates into savings for our customers.
